Yes, really! The first Payment Jack swiper is free. Each additional swiper (for additional phones) may be purchased for $19.95 each (one-time purchase).
Is the $10 Gateway fee the only fixed expense?
Yes. The first Payment Jack swiper carries with it a $10 monthly gateway fee. There are no other minimums, statements fees, or customer service fees as a fixed expense. Note that for each additional swiper (when purchased for $19.95 each), a $5 monthly gateway fee will apply.
How do I know this system will work with my cell phone?
Payment Jack (powered by Roam Data) works with most smart phones with a data plan, and with most carriers. But to be sure, please check out our most current phone compatibility chart here: Check phone compatibility.
How good is the coverage? Will they work everywhere?
Your merchant processing footprint will be dependent on your cell phone coverage. Please check with your current provider for more information.
Do I have to use the swiper?
No. You may elect to process keyed transactions rather than swiped. this is the preferred choice if a lot of your business (more than 10%) is conducted over the phone or by mail.
What credit cards will I be able to accept?
Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express.
Can I process debit cards and check cards?
Checkcards: yes, debit cards: no. The Payment Jack device used with a cell phone is not capable of processing PIN entry debit trasactions. Checkcards (with a Visa or MasterCard logo) can be processed just like credit cards.
Can I process checks?
Sorry, no. The Payment Jack device used with a cell phone is not capable of processing checks.
How soon can I have the machine?
